The foundations of our success
Our processes
Cultivar Registration
In Colombia, all genetics for commercial cultivation purposes must first be registered with the I.C.A.
Our status as Selected Seed Producers allows us to carry out this task under which we certify our genetics and those of our allies, thus allowing their subsequent cultivation for the designated subregion. This is a regulatory process, which allows us to know the phenotype of each variety and build the appropriate protocols.
Seed production
We are aware of the diverse needs that exist in the current context, which is why we concentrate on obtaining feminized seeds through our allied banks.
Our seed production process includes a detailed selection of plants and high quality standards to achieve successful propagation of genetics.
Micropropagation
Our propagation process through genetic tissue allows us to:
- Access superior quality by propagating it in a sterile solution, each plant is free of pathogens
- Guarantee the standardization of said variety by eliminating the use of mother plants.
- Avoid the genetic drift that occurs naturally when propagating conventional systems through other systems, resulting in an evolution of genetics, making its preservation difficult in each generation.
Multiplication
Once we have sufficiently developed seedlings from either our in vitro propagation process or seed production, we begin multiplication by obtaining their parts and repeat it until we achieve the desired amount to begin the hardening phase. and for the germplasm bank.
On the other hand, if the initial material is seeds, we germinate each of these under a favorable environment to then be grown in our greenhouses for seed production and obtaining dried flower for commercial purposes.
